Machine & Implement Guidance

Integrated AutoTrac

Integrated AutoTrac utilises factory installed hardware for the control of the tractor steering. Generation 4 AutoTrac activation provides proven benefits of automatic guidance on Generation (Gen) 4 displays. This activation is machine specific, meaning it stays with the machine throughout the life of the machine. A Generation 4 display, StarFire™ receiver, and the Generation 4 AutoTrac activation are required to utilize the activation. AutoTrac offers increased productivity by being able to cover more ground, reduces overlap and maximizes input as well as reducing fatigue.

AutoTrac Controller

Older John Deere Machines, as well as other makes of machinery can benefit from the full potential of John Deere guidance. With an AutoTrac Controller you’ll enjoy the fast line acquisition that only complete component integration can bring, plus you’ll receive the similar guidance convenience as the latest models of John Deere machines. AutoTrac Controller is compatible with over 380 approved models from: John Deere, Case, Deutz-Fahr, Fendt, New Holland & Massey Ferguson

Requirements

  • John Deere 4240 or 4640 Universal Display
  • AutoTrac Activation
  • AutoTrac Universal Kit
  • StarFire 3000 or 6000 Receiver

Benefits

  • Compatible with John Deere Active Implement Guidance
  • Fast line acquisition
  • Brings high-precision guidance to mixed fleets
  • All accuracy levels

SolSteer Conversion Kit

The SolSteer Interface controller allows the GreenStar equipment to be used in non-John Deere machines integrated steering systems.

Requirements

  • Non John Deere Brand of tractor or Harvesting machine with integrated steering controllers and sensors installed
  • John Deere 4240 or 4640 Universal Display with Autotrac Activation
  • StarFire 3000 or 6000 receiver at any accuracy level

Benefits

  • Use your existing Greenstar equipment to Steer Non John Deere machines
  • Same displays and receivers on mixed fleets, (no confusion with different operating systems)

Active Implement Guidance

Active Implement Guidance helps optimize the use of inputs by increasing accuracy at the implement and facilitating seamless, repeatable passes throughout the growing season. Active Implement Guidance can help to reduce input costs in a variety of applications. Potato producers and other specialty crop producers that make frequent passes through the field have seen the value of Active Implement Guidance as they precisely plant and care for their crop.

Requirements

  • Autotrac and ISOBUS ready tractor
  • Command centre or John Deere 4240 or 4640 Universal Display with Autotrac and Implement Guidance Activations
  • StarFire 3000 or 6000 receiver at any accuracy level
  • Active Implement guidance valve, controller and harness
  • SF3000 or SF6000 Receiver for the implement
  • Compatible implement with steering axle or side shift ram
  • Hydraulic side shift unit for the three point linkage

Benefits

  • Positive impact on inputs
  • High crop quality
  • Industry-exclusive fingertip controls
  • Reduced operator fatigue

Passive Implement Guidance

Passive Implement Guidance commands the tractor to the correct location to keep the implement on the guidance line, by using a second receiver on the implement increases accuracy and repeatability. In applications utilising Passive Implement Guidance, seeds are more consistently placed to take full advantage of pre-applied nutrients. This level of precision allows implement guidance to reduce overall input costs, especially on undulating terrain where implements are prone to side slippage.

Requirements

  • John Deere 6R, 7R, 8R, 9R equipped with Integrated Autotrac
  • Command centre or John Deere 4240 or 4640 Universal Display with Autotrac and Implement Guidance Activations
  • StarFire 3000 or 6000 receiver at any accuracy level
  • StarFire 3000 or 6000 Receiver for the implement
  • Implement guidance Harness

Benefits

  • Maximize ability to apply inputs at the right place
  • Maximize accuracy throughout multiple applications and operations
  • Shared signal improves performance and lowers investment cost for precision agriculture systems
  • Accuracy

AutoTrac Turn Automation

AutoTrac Turn Automation automatically guides the tractor through the optimum path and carries out end-of-row functions at appropriate times during the sequence. This functionality reduces input costs and reduces strain on the operator. When operators spend their workday manually steering a tractor and implement around an end-of-row turn while also watching for obstacles and executing end-of-row functions such as raising the implement and down shifting the tractor, they tend to get tired. This causes headland inconsistencies.

Requirements

  • Available on all R series John Deere Tractors
  • 4600 or John Deere 4640 Universal Display
  • Ultimate display activation

Benefits

  • Ability to focus on the job, making necessary adjustments and agronomic decision on the go
  • Ability to watch the tractor and implement more closely, allowing for proactive measures rather than reactive fixes
  • Increased productivity through faster, more efficient, smoother end turns
  • Carries out end-of-row functions at appropriate times during the sequence
